IANAGH NURSE EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2026

Call for Nominations – 2026

The Indian American Nurses Association of Greater Houston (IANAGH) proudly invites nominations for the Nurse Excellence Awards 2026.

This recognition honors nurses who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership, and impact in the nursing profession and the community.

Award Categories

Nominees may apply under one of the following categories:

• Clinical Nurse
• Advanced Practice Nurse
• Nurse Educator
• Nurse Leader
• Specialty Nurse
(Examples: wound care, hospice, forensic, community health, case management)

Application Period

March 1 – April 1, 2026
Submit completed application and nomination letter before the deadline.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee and nominator must be current IANAGH members
• Must have actively contributed to IANAGH for at least 1–2 years
• Demonstrate excellence and leadership in their field of nursing
• Must include one letter of recommendation from an IANAGH Governing Board member
• Previous recipients cannot apply again for the same category
• Governing Board members and Awards Committee members are not eligible

Nomination Criteria

Nomination letter (maximum 300 words) should highlight:

• Excellence in professional nursing practice
• Contributions to IANAGH and the community
• Evidence-based improvements in patient care
• Strong collaboration and leadership
• Commitment to improving patient outcomes and quality of care.
